At the nursery this afternoon I spotted one of my
springtime favorites...

pussy willows!
Since I was a wee little girl
I have delighted in the deciduous shrubs
furry buds or "catkins."
They are a sign for our spring starved eyes
that winter is waning...we bid you adieu at sunset.
I will miss you though!
Enjoy the beauty of each moment for a way good day!

Are you a Cadbury Mini Egg-aholic?
If so, you can readily identify these
pastel, solid milk chocolate gems with an
amazing crisp sugar shell coating.
Nothing else in the world like them,

except for their European complements.

The British counterparts taste slightly different and are more 

speckled.

I personally think the UK eggs are prettier, but would never turn up my nose at either, as they are only on the market once a year.

(That is a mixed blessing for those of us in the club.)

I hope you have a large dish of them awaiting you in your home...
maybe a few bowls scattered throughout so they greet you at every turn.
If you are really lucky, the bowl will look just like the one pictured, a twin to the four latte bowls I received as a gift from our oldest daughter from Anthropologie in New York; the shop that houses the kitty cat.

Always have a mini bag of the "Mini's,"
packaged in their telltale purple wrap,
so you can share the confectionery treasure with
others for a way good day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is a shamrock plant Mr R.
presented to me quite a few years ago.
I love that it is
blooming for its honored day.

I especially enjoy the underside of the leaves;
the pinkish maroon color.
It is such a nice contrast to the green.
Magical.
I treasure the pot in which it grows
that our youngest daughter painted!
May you have the luck of the green
to find a leprechaun
and may he be generous to share with you
where he hides his gold!
At the least, may we all be a bit o' Irish
--if only for a way good St. Patrick's day!

Two artists from Philadelphia, Shauna and Stephen, are guest bloggers on the BFF blog, hosting a super crazy, great project,

"Your Message Here".
They have created and installed a roadside marquee at the new fred flare shop in Brooklyn.
Each day, through April 10, they are picking their favorite sentiment and photographing the signs daily transformations.

Due to moving our clocks forward one hour a week ago, we are now back to arriving at school shrouded in darkness. This morning, First Period, I spied with my eye an amazing, firey sun rising.
I called the students over to the window, which you can see we opened for a few minutes to have a better view, to watch the beauty of the day unfolding. It was a way good start of the day in art class!

Oh my darling, Mr. R,
brought home a wooden box filled with orange orbs.
I am transitioning
from the gifts of winter
to the treasures of spring.

Bamboo shoots.
Did you ever rhythmically hit them on the ground
while others stepped/danced through the poles?
I loved playing this game I learned in
elementary gym class.
Today, a new purpose was discovered for these sturdy shoots.
I heard Mr. R calling my name from the garage,
to please come retrieve the spring wreaths
I had kindly asked him to lift off the
wreath storage peg board.
At the door,
I was met with the circular decorations
suspended at the end of the bamboo shoot
my husband had extended to reach the wreaths
and then stretched across the vehicle
to deliver the pair directly to me.

Today is the first day of spring sports!

The students
are totally pumped and raring to start tryouts.
The weather is beautiful, crisp and sunny--
I hope they all have a way good day!

Winter

I appreciate and enjoy them all!
Each time of year, governed by annual equinoxes,
I enjoy pondering
what is happening in the earth, literally;
on and around the globe
and in our hearts.
Creating, sorting and storing memories of the
past and present while
eagerly anticipating and
looking towards the future--
each season.
May we embrace
and relish
each and every day
of each and every season
for a way good life!

Snuggle up with your honey and sweater pillows.

A few over sized sweaters snagged from a dollar sale at Goodwill turned into the coziest sofa pillows ever. The crafter installed a recycled sweater zipper into the pale blue pillow cover and the other two were buttoned cardigans, so they were good to go after being sewn into squares.

A way good way to stay warm!
